My efforts to reduce my weight have been a source of frustration for a very long time. However, a close friend of mine who had recently begun following the advice of an Ayurvedic practitioner suggested that I give the cinnamon and jeera drink a go.
I wasn't concerned till she said she lost 2 kilograms in two weeks. Soak cinnamon and white jeera for at least 8 hours, boil for 2 minutes, and consume once it cools. Here's how my month with this drink went.
I soaked 2-3 grams cinnamon sticks and a tablespoon of jeera in a big glass of water the night before. I cooked it and consumed it before workout instead of coffee! I was panting and lacked energy to exercise. At night, I soaked it again after my workout. I had the drink again at 6 pm, when I typically drink tea. As a tea addict, I had tea after 30 minutes (unwise).
It's routine. I'm working out better without it now that I drink black coffee in the morning. Though not losing weight, I feel lighter. I heard cinnamon is excellent in battling cholesterol and weight issues a month ago when I had low cholesterol and insulin. Since I can't give up evening tea, I drink Cinnamon-Jeera at 4 pm. Progress is excellent!
The good news is that I lost over 900 grams. This may be due to the drink or my 4-day-a-week workout and 3-day-a-week stroll schedule. I know I feel lighter and healthier. Interesting, my sleep is improved. I read online that daily jeera drink drinking isn't for everyone, but it's working for me. Please heed your body cues if you do this. Avoid ignoring them.
I lost 1.3 kg! I've missed my nightly drink regularly in the previous 7-8 days. No dawn has passed without me. I'll get my cholesterol and insulin resistance tested after a month of this drink. My skin and bowel functions have also improved.
This amazing drink has been in my life for about a month, and I never want to quit. Despite not losing weight, I'm delighted with my other modifications. My friend advised me to stop after 3 months and rejoin after a break.
I lost about 1.8 kg! A doctor buddy suggested adding ajwain to my drink, but I'll drink it separately because I'm not sure it will work. Another buddy advised trying jeera, mustard, and coriander in a cocktail. Sipping the drink all day helped her lose roughly 6 kg in a month.
